facilitiesDescription The park's amenities include a beach, boat launch sites, boat rentals, cabins, campsites, dumping stations, showers, 20+ trails for hiking and biking, picnic tables, and a playground. A wooden pavilion with a 120-person capacity and three canvas tents with space for 35-50 may be reserved. In the summer, beach lounges, beach umbrellas, and fishing gear can be rented. In the winter, snowshoes are available for rent daily. Located on the beach road, the award winning, Lake Shore Cottage provides everything from a refrigerator, stove, dishes and utensils to a screened porch, bathroom with shower, bedding, pillows and a cozy fireplace. The Campground Cottage is also available and offers many of the same amenities as the Lake Shore Cottage. (located near Loop F) The recently renovated Sunset Cabin is now available for the 2012 season. It's a little more rustic, but offers seclusion and lakefront accommodations!

importantInformation ****Please note, most of the fire pits at the campground are NOT equipped with a cooking grill. If you would like to grill food over a campfire, please bring your own grill.**** For those camping in Loop A this fall season, please note the dumping station is closed as of October 14, 2016. Each year the campground makes every effort to provide safe swimming opportunities by testing the water and by keeping the swimming areas staffed with lifeguards. Please be aware that if the safety of our swimmers is compromised, due to lack of lifeguard coverage or water quality issues, swimming will be prohibited and therefore cannot be a guaranteed activity. We apologize for this inconvenience as it may occur with little advance notice. See HERE for all current swimming closures! To insure fairness for all NY customers, any reservation with departure dates outside the 9-month Maximum Window can not be changed or cancelled until 18 days after the reservation was made. There is a maximum of six people, two vehicles and two tents per site. Only 2 pets per site are permitted. Current rabies certificate required. Pets must be on a leash no longer than 6ft at all times. No person under the age of 18 will be permitted to camp unless supervised by a person 18 years of age or older who has been issued a permit for that campsite or cottage. No equipment or vehicles are permitted outside of the designated campsite There is separate parking and a fee for any additional vehicles. Please call the park office if you are expecting to arrive after 9:00 p.m. on the day of your reservation, otherwise your reservation will be cancelled. The phone number is (518) 793-0511. One picnic table and fireplace or fire-ring per site. Picnic and boat launch facilities are open from 8:00 a.m. to sunset. New comfort stations and shower facilities located in all loops and are open 24hrs. The parks nature center is open daily during the summer season. There are 20 + miles of marked hiking/mountain biking trails available. All boats must be stored at either the boat launch or at the campsite; motors of any kind are prohibited. Temporary permits are available at the park office Beach lounges and umbrellas are available for rent at the beach, rental hours are 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. There is a food and beverage concession at the beach and in the campground. Firewood and bagged ice are available at the park office. The beach is open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. from Memorial Day to Labor Day. The snack bar and all beach equipment rentals are available during this period. Campers, motorhomes and trailers are NOT allowed at the beach on weekends and holidays, Memorial Day - Labor Day. Garbage and recyclables must be separated and brought to recycling or refuse center. Smoking and pets are NOT permitted in the cabin or cottages. When booking either full-service cottage the length of stay must be either 7 days or 14 days maximum. Access Pass and Lifetime Liberty Pass is NOT accepted for the full service cottages at Moreau Lake. Peak season: A person may be the primary site occupant for 14 total days of camping within a 16 day period. S/he must leave the park for 48 hours once they have stayed the maximum number of days allowed before beginning a new reservation.
